Stone House Stable sits on sixty acres of gently rolling hills in Virginia’s Lee County.  Our family owned and operated equestrian facility features multiple turnout paddocks.  We are conveniently located between the Lincoln Memorial University main campus in Harrogate, TN and the LMU College of Veterinary Medicine in Ewing, VA.


Horse Boarding

Stone House Stable features one barn with 8 stalls on 30 acres of farmland. The horses are stabled in a renovated pre-civil war barn. The barn was occupied by Union forces during the civil war in the skirmish of Wyerman’s Mill in 1864.

Amenities include:

  • 30 Acres rotating pastures with run-in sheds in every paddock.
  • All stalls are 11′ x 14′, fully rubber-matted, have full grills and windows with slider doors, drop down yokes and safety locks.
  •  The barn aisles are concrete and wide.
  • 100′ x 200′ outdoor arena with natural dirt/sand footing.
  • Tack Room, Feed Room, Wash Stall
  • Heated bathroom/changing room

Trail Riding / Camping

Direct access to great trail riding:  The Cumberland Gap National Historical Park has 70+ miles of backcountry riding trails with equestrian style camping and over 85 miles of hiking trails.  The farm ties into the Wilderness Road Virginia State Park riding trail providing riders with a gateway to the state and national park system.
